BEST BYPASS ROUTES DURING SINGLE-LANE
PERIOD FOR YR2000 S-CURVE ROAD WORK
THE SAFEST WAY TO AVOID TRAFFIC ON GEORGETOWN
ROAD...
Had drivers known about
the two extra delays, perhaps some would have chosen to take our by-pass
route...note that Hillside Lane is considerably to the south of Langner
Lane, and a great length before slow-downs for S-Curve construction.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Heading south, take a right
at Langner Lane. Proceed to Sturgess Ridge Road in Wilton (make a left)
and go to points south (meets up with Route 53 at the end of Sturgess Ridge).
Heading
north, if you make a left at Calvin Road, you have a more circuitous,
but extremely pretty detour to Sturgess Ridge Road. Make a right
onto Sturgess Ridge. If, purchance, you are heading north and are
coming from the westerly direction, you will run into Hurlbutt Street before
you get to Sturgess Ridge--on Hurlbutt Street you are more likely to find
Wilton Police Department speed traps near Rolling Hills Country Club's
entrance!
